Finally we can bring you the news: Dark Field Analysis will premiere in Berlin at Tanz im August on 24, 25, 26 & 27 August 2017. Dark Field Analysis is a piece for two performers; Juan Pablo Cámara and Roger Sala Reyner. Sound designer David Kiers and lighting designer Minna Tiikkainen make up, together with Jefta, a long-lasting core creative team, here joined by scenographer Cristina Nyffeler. The performance has grown out of Jefta van Dinther’s desire to tackle autobiographical materials and with that a wish to speak. In Dark Field Analysis the voice and, more importantly, words make up a next step in reaching out to communicate with his audience. Jefta ventures deeper into his previous research of the voice as an extension of the body, oral expressions and narration. Look here for more information.
An article about Jefta van Dinther’s work entitled Spaces of Intensity by Astrid Peterle has been included in Tanzquartier’s SCORES publication. Read the article here.

LIAISON is an encounter between dance, music, film and other performing arts, and an initiative of Jefta van Dinther. During four full evenings between April 9th and 12th, a program will be presented at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern in Stockholm that interweaves different art forms in which various artistic voices are given space to reference each other through overlapping questions, interests and worlds. LIAISON brings to the fore artworks that play with our sense of time. Artworks that through their duration create ceremonies in which embodied and vocal mantras constitute the very substructure of the works expression. In an age characterized by an appreciation for productivity and profit, LIAISON wishes to instead seduce through that which lingers, is left alone and takes its own time.
In LIAISON, art is given the opportunity to contextualize art, with the purpose of linking instead of explaining. It takes its starting point from Jefta van Dinther’s work THIS IS CONCRETE, made in collaboration with choreographer and dancer Thiago Granato.
