Text
[LINK] is a Mentorship Program in Artistic Practice taking place in the context of choreographer Jefta van Dinther’s upcoming choreographic projects during 2022-2024. [LINK] aims to connect a curious artist, as mentee, with a person within the artistic team (scenographer, sound designer, light designer, costume designer, choreographer) working with Jefta van Dinther, for the duration of a creative process of one production. During the program a unique paid opportunity will be granted to an emerging artist, under supervision of the mentor, dramaturg Maja Zimmermann and choreographer Jefta van Dinther.
The program enables an individual to be coupled with a person within the artistic team during an upcoming production. The pair will enter into a mentorship-mentee relationship, in which the mentee is in focus, while the production of Jefta van Dinther and the artistic process of the mentor acts as a blueprint for the exchange. [LINK] takes its shape through several encounters between the mentee and the mentor, as well as with the supervisor and the team of the production, from the initiation of ideas to the final stages of production. The mentee will also be expected to produce and present a Personal Interest Project (PIP) parallel to these studio encounters.
The mentee can be a Berlin based student, a professional or an autodidact who has experience within the field or an adjacent field.
The mentee will receive a fee of 1200 EUR gross
